EXPANDING UNIVERSE: Both DC Nation & Marvel Universe Are Growing

With DC Nation and Marvel Universe  scoring, respectively, on Cartoon Network and DisneyXD, there looks to be expansions on both next year. For DC Nation, both Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice will be returning, but they’ll be joined by the new Beware the Batman and Teen Titans Go. Over at Marvel Universe, Ultimate Spider-Man will return for a second season, but The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will not. We’ve already received word that there will be a new series coming featuring EMH, Avengers Assemble, and based on an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Disney’s Gary Marsh has offered a hint towards what else is on the horizon.
   “Two months ago, we launched Marvel Universe on Disney XD, which became the exclusive home for new Marvel television content,” says Marsh. “We’ve developed Ultimate Spider-Man. Subsequent to the success of the Avengers movie, we’ve been developing a new Avengers Assemble. We’re talking about a Hulk series and an Iron Man series, too. They’re going to spend $150 million to $200 million to make these [movie] properties and then half of that to market them; I’m sitting here thinking, ‘Thank you, Lord, you’ve made me look good.’” Keep the toons coming!
